The value of your voucher is determined by the number of bedrooms you need. Based on the size of your household. These are called the “Payment Standards”. The Payment Standards are adjusted each year to reflect the changes in the rental market. The Payment Standards for this year are:

What are the current Utility Allowances.
The maximum assistance a family can receive, which will dictate the percentage of rent they pay (calculated as 30% of their adjusted annual income), is determined by subtracting the cost of utilities paid by the tenant from the payment standard.
In certain instances, a family may be permitted to go beyond the maximum subsidy limit, provided their rental portion doesn't exceed 40% of their adjusted annual income.
It's crucial to note that the contract rent for those participating in the program must not surpass that of an unsubsidized tenant.
When the cost of essential utilities (not including telephone, cable television, or Internet) and other housing services for an assisted unit is not included in the tenant rent but is the responsibility of the family occupying the unit.
