
Jeffrey Stewart is a public servant, retiring in 2019, after 35 years of continuous employment at various levels of government.
Jeffrey’s service at the federal, state and municipal levels has given him unparalleled insight into the role of government and the significant role it plays in community development.
He is equally committed to the community and has broad and deep community engagement in Hartford. He has served as board director, board officer and member, in several public and non-profit organizations. Some of them, past and present, include:
Member of Clay Arsenal NRZ; Commission Member of Housing Authority of City of Hartford; Board Member, Hartford NEXT; Board Treasurer, Friends of Keney Park, Inc.; former Vice Chair, Blue Hills NRZ: former Hartford Democratic Town Committee Member; former Commission Member, City of Hartford Zoning Board of Appeals; former Board Member of Hartford Public Library; former Board Member of Charter Oak Health Center; and former Vice Chair, Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission
He is a graduate of Weaver High School and Amherst College with BA in History.
