GOAL: To learn English by enrolling in English as a Second Language Program.

  • Must enroll in an evening English as a Second Language (ESL) course by xxxx, 19xx
  • Must provide proof of applying to an ESL Program by providing a copy of the Application for Enrollment to your Campus of Learners Case Manager
  • Must provide proof of acceptance in an ESL Program by providing a copy of the Notice of Acceptance from the ESL Provider
  • If you are having difficulty identifying an ESL Service Provider, you must inform your Campus of Learners Case Manager and assistance will be provided to help you find a provider.
  • Must graduate from the ESL Program and provide proof of graduation (i.e. Certificate of Completion) to your Campus of Learners Case Manager
  • Must inform your Campus of Learners Case Manager immediately of any barriers that may prevent you from participating in an ESL Program and your case manager will assist you in overcoming those barriers.

Must provide proof of graduation from High School or GED Program. Failure to do so will result in your mandated enrollment in an evening GED Program upon completion of your evening ESL Program.

Description of Job: Installing new kitchen cabinets at Smith Towers

EXPECTATIONS ON CLIENTS PART: 
Perform necessary work duties to maintain employment to include but not limited to the following:

  • Report to work at expected times and expected days
  • Perform cabinet removal and installation tasks as expected by supervisor and any additional task as deemed necessary by the supervisor
  • Report to Campus of Learners Case manager every two weeks to provide status on employment issues beginning on January 2, 1999
  • Do everything within her / his power to maintain this job
  • Should this job end M. --------is expected to find a new job within 30 days of her / his present job ending by participating and providing the following:
    • Self-Directed Job Search and providing a minimum of 3 copies of Job Applications per week of jobs applied for during a given week.
    • Must look for employment at least three days per week and provide proof of that search (copy of Job Application)
    • Report to your Campus of Learners Case Manager Once a week to report on job search status.
    • Must actively participate in the Housing Authority's Family Reunification Program and must through that program develop a Resume in the event that she / he is in need of employment.
    • Any barriers to finding employment or maintaining employment must immediately be brought to the attention of the Campus of Learners Case Manager and assistance will be provided in finding service providers to eliminate those barriers.
